Having warmed the benches for the first four matches, Mohammed Shami’s wait of getting a chance in the ongoing World Cup finally ended with the pacer being included for the New Zealand clash. The right-arm pacer Shami went on to justify his inclusion and made an immediate impact by striking on his delivery of this World Cup to give India an early edge. He went past legendary bowler Anil Kumble (31) in the list of bowlers with most wickets for India in World Cups.
